KYLE ARNESON

PRODUCTION DESIGN / ART DIRECTION / MODEL MAKING

I had the great privilege to production design the latest Lucasfilm installment of 'Robot Chicken Star Wars Episode 3' with the talented folks over at Shadow Machine. It was wonderful to work with my friend Chris McKay and to get fully immersed in the Star Wars world. Definitely something the 8-year-old version of me never saw coming!

Here is the puppet-version of me conversing with the puppet-version of the animation director, Savelen Forrest.

Visual Effects Producer Cam Leeburg (center, left) and I had the great honor of hosting a visit from our friend, the luminary genius Mark Stetson (center, right). To our great delight he brought with him the esteemed Norihiko Iwasaki (left) from Japan's superb Marbling Fine Arts.

My favorite sketch of the special. This was a really fun set to design and model maker Matt Burlingame did an amazing job making it look beautiful.

Director Chris McKay tasked me with conceiving of a Rube Goldberg style series of events in Uncle Owen and Aunt Baru's bathroom that would culminate in a fire. Here is what I came up with.

Here I am explaining to the director how the animation will work for the sequence.
